8, 9, and 10 Month Pics!

Wesley continues to grow and learn! Around 8-months he learned to pull himself up to standing and has been enjoying the new views ever since. He gets more and more expressive all the time, loves clapping his hands and making sounds to let us know what he wants. This past week he went on the swings for the first time and based on his smile, I think we assume he had a good time!

Paris!

Dave, Wesley and I set off to Paris for the last weekend in January. We think Wesley enjoyed his first trip to Paris! :)

A Wonderful Holiday Season

This year we spent the holidays here in London and enjoyed a quiet and fun first Christmas and New Year for Wesley. New Year's day also marked Wesley's 7-month birthday. Here's a picture of him under the tree with many of his Christmas presents - thank you everybody!!! Also, here's a link to other fun holiday photos.

Santa Skate and Other Fun

We had a fun and festive weekend starting Friday afternoon with Dave's firm's family Christmas party where Wesley met Santa for the very first time.

Then on Saturday, the fun continued as we joined Wesley's swim buddy, Xander, and his Mom and Dad (Kate and David) for the annual Santa Skate. Basically, the Santa Skate is a two hour street skate (rollerblading) around central London (covering a distance of approximately 10 miles) with about 400 people dressed in Santa costumes to the sound of loud and jolly Christmas music. We had a blast and were very thankful that Kate and David invited us to join in the fun!

Wesley and Xander were dressed in identical santa outfits and charioted around by David and Kate. We didn't get very many pics during the skate as we had to focus on not falling or running into other skaters :) However, here's a link to some youtube footage (not of us, but many jolly santa skaters) and here's a picture of Wesley and Xander before the skate.

The next day we had a lovely afternoon pub meal with Kate, David and Xander. Since the little ones were dressed in their santa suits once again, we were able to take some pictures.

Long time no post!

I'm sorry for not posting anything new recently. We've been keeping busy with activities such as Thanksgiving celebrations, swim class, massage class and a recent trip to the states! We flew to Michigan with a stopover in Virginia/DC where we were able to see a few friends, but unfortunately it wasn't long enough to see everyone we would like to have seen. Wesley was very happy to see his family in Michigan! If you want to see pictures from the trip, click here for the album. Wesley celebrated his six month birthday at Grandpa and Grandma's house!

In other Wesley news - he started eating solids this past Saturday. So far he's only had rice cereal, but he has sampled a few other tasty treats! So far he seems to love eating!
