We had a fun and festive weekend starting Friday afternoon with Dave's firm's family Christmas party where Wesley met Santa for the very first time.Then on Saturday, the fun continued as we joined Wesley's swim buddy, Xander, and his Mom and Dad (Kate and David) for the annual Santa Skate. Basically, the Santa Skate is a two hour street skate (rollerblading) around central London (covering a distance of approximately 10 miles) with about 400 people dressed in Santa costumes to the sound of loud and jolly Christmas music. We had a blast and were very thankful that Kate and David invited us to join in the fun!
Wesley and Xander were dressed in identical santa outfits and charioted around by David and Kate. We didn't get very many pics during the skate as we had to focus on not falling or running into other skaters :) However, here's a link to some youtube footage (not of us, but many jolly santa skaters) and here's a picture of Wesley and Xander before the skate.
The next day we had a lovely afternoon pub meal with Kate, David and Xander. Since the little ones were dressed in their santa suits once again, we were able to take some pictures.
